Babylock Buy/Sell/Trade and Chat Group Rules
Group Rules
1) Update your thread when something gets sold or is no longer available.
2) Make the title as descriptive as possible so people know what it is they are looking at.
3) Please post a price in for ALL FS (For Sale) deals. If you aren't sure how much you want for it, give a range. Please avoid using "make an offer".
4) ***Put a time line on your ad that gives the buyer time to get funds together, and research their needs. It is unusual to do this for most items but considering the prices of some of the Babylock items I believe this is a sensible etiquette to follow.
3) When posting a WTB (Want to Buy) or ISO (In Search Of), include a price or price range that you are willing to pay for the item. This allows potential sellers to easily decide if they can sell the item to you.
4) You cannot sell/trade something you do not have in your immediate possession.
5) Be courteous when buying or selling, and use commonsense.
6) Post item condition (scratches and the like) and any images of the item (if available). Be as descriptive as possible when posting an item for sale or trade.
7) No thread-lowballing. If you think someone's price is unreasonable or you want to make a lower offer, PM or e-mail them.
8) Please refrain from posting external links to describe your item. Add all relevant information to your thread and you can link externally as long as previous rules are met.
9) If your item is cross posted please indicate this in your post.
10) State the country where the item is located and whether you allow for local pickup.
11) If making any purchase or sale involving mailing of a physical item you must use Paypal goods and services to make and receive a payment. An invoice with a complete descriptive product description must be included in the transaction.
12) No virtual items (downloads, patterns) may be listed on the site. All physical sale items must be directly related to a Babylock Machine. No random fabrics, notions etc.
Dealer Posting Rules
Although this group was originally created for the end user for the purpose of buying/selling/ and trading gently used machines, dealers may create posts under the guidance of the following rules:
1. Dealers can create 1 post per month and “bump” the posting only once a week
2. An old post must be deleted before a new post can be created
3. At the top of the listing the dealer must clearly state that they are a dealer
4. The dealer must indicate the city and state, region or equivalent of where they are located
5. The dealer may request that pricing be discussed via Pms. It must also be noted that members can create post and discuss anything related to BL in a respectful manner on their own created posts.
6. An original photo of the item/items discussed in the post must be include in the post. Yes pictures of boxes are fine.
7. The dealer must include a website or Facebook group link in the post so that members can search for additional information to properly vet the dealer.
8. No virtual items (downloads, patterns) may be listed on the site. All physical sale items must be directly related to a Babylock Machine. No random fabrics, notions etc.
